The building works started in July 24, 1629 on the same place that occupied the antique medieval church. From this last one, the bell tower was conserved and the new Church was consacrated on October 8, 1645 by the bishop of Savona. Inside is been preserved a polyptych from the Painter Pierino del Vaga, disciple of Raffaello, that was painted in 1535 portraying the Archangel Saint Michael.
